FAQ
Some questions I get all the time. This will continue to be updated as I get additional repetitive questions in the future. Got a question?

Professional:
Q: How fast do you type?
A: I’ve tested at 40 WPM, though I type a lot faster when I’m composing the text in my head. Switching gears from reading to typing slows me down.
Q: What programs do you use?
A: See Software.
Q: Education?
A: For performance, I had six years of private voice. I also minored in Interp. Speech.
Bob Jones University Master of Arts - Cinema and Video Production
Bob Jones University Bachelor of Science - Cinema and Video Production
Q: Do you have a portfolio?
A: Please see my DeviantArt and Guru pages for examples.

Q: How do you pronounce your name?
A: Well, it doesn’t rhyme with “mean/lean/scene” or “dine/mine/fine,” for starters. For the IPA literate, it’s
krǐs΄tə-lǐn
For the rest, try crystal-in or Crystal-Lynn.
Lauryl is pronounced just like laurel.
If that’s too complicated, just call me Chrys (sounds like Chris).
Q: That’s so pretty, is that your real name?
A: Thank you. It is now.
Q: Why did you change your name?
A: I had a lot of reasons.
Q: Do you have kids?
A: No. I have worked with children enough to sound like a mother, but I am not.
Q: Are you married/dating?
A: No.
Q: Will you marry/go out with me?
A: No. Please don’t offer to set me up with anyone either.
Q: Will you chat with me on IM?
A: If you have something to say and if I have time, sure. Please have something to talk about. Please be aware of things that interest me, and please do not use “hacker” or “leet” or “txt” or “chatspeak.” I like the English language and hate to see it mangled, besides the fact that it takes me longer to translate, as these forms are essentially speaking in code.
Q: I love your makeup! What do you use?
A: Thank you. I confess I’m a little surprised how often this comes up, but I use a variety of products.
